Poetry 155: Dualities

Dualities

If there is no mother
can there be daughter?

If there is no light
can there be dark?

If there is no day
can there be night?

I have to think
the answer is no.

More likely,
it would seem,
my words are just
too small because
they come from
that too narrow
a place inside.

So what if I felt
into a more
expansive experience
of Mother?
And a larger sense
of Light?
A grander sense
of Day?

What if these
so called dualities
dissolved into
the expanse of an
infinite, vast
awareness of Big Mind-
the quiet quality
that sits behind the
turbulence and vexation
of Small Mind?

In moments of
calm and clarity,
it would seem
they do.

One can only
hope.
